Handover of the GI SIG EMISA Chair

As of January 1st, 2016, Opens internal link in current windowManfred Reichert handed over the chair of the Opens external link in new windowGI SIG EMISA (Special Interest Group on Development Methods for Information Systems and their Application) to his colleagues Opens external link in new windowJan Mendling (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and Opens external link in new windowStefanie Rinderle-Ma (University of Vienna).

Over the last decade, Manfred Reichert actively shaped the development of the EMISA SIG, first in his role as deputy chair and editor-in-chief of the Opens external link in new windowEMISA Forum (2007 – 2012), then in his role as EMISA SIG chair (2013 – 2015). Furthermore, he was PC co-chair of the EMISA workshops held in 2007 and 2012. During his period of office, all annual meetings of the EMISA SIG took place in neighboring countries (Vienna, St. Gallen, Luxembourg, and Innsbruck). A few years ago, he edited a special issue of EMISA Forum on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the EMISA SIG.
